Parents and Friends Association
Otherwise known as PAFA, is a fundraising group made up of parents. We meet in the staffroom on a monthly basis to discuss and co-ordinate activities to help raise money for the school, and to enhance our kids enjoyment and wellbeing while at Nar Nar Goon Primary School.
There are many different ways that we raise money for the school, such as:
PAFA consists of a President, Secretary, Treasurer, and School Council Representative, as well as general members. All positions become vacant at the Annual General Meeting, and new members are always welcome!
If you have little ones they are most welcome to come along too.
If you can't make it to the meetings, or don't wish to be part of the committee, you can still be involved by helping out on the days that we run our activities. Extra help is always welcome, so watch the newsletter for more information.
In the last few years, the money we have raised has gone towards the installation of the Pirate Ship Playground, Fortune Garden Gazebo, the refurbishment of the Tool Shed into a new Relaxation Room, new books for the library and Take Home Readers, purchase of iPads and subsidising the Yr6 Celebration Week including Graduation Bears gift to all leaving Year 6s.
